Griffith Avenue Mile 18th September
As you may have heard by now, a Committee representing some members of the AHAA Committee and members of the Marino Athletics Club are planning to run the Griffith Avenue Mile event again in 2022. The date is set for Sunday September 18th to run the event and have now opened pre-registration on the event website in advance of ticket sales going live later in the summer.
As you'll recall from 2019, the event was really a fantastic day for the whole community with races run for elite runners, families, adults, children and those with disabilities alike. Griffith Avenue was closed to traffic between the Swords Road and the Malahide Road for a few short hours, resulting in access to the avenue for walkers and runners in a way that is truly unique, allowing everyone to enjoy the beautiful avenue in a way we normally cannot. It was all culminated with a post race event in DCU All Hallows. The plan for this year is to repeat it all again, except this time bigger and better than before. You can
pre-registration on www.GriffithAvenueMile.ie
The organisers are also seeking sponsors to help make the event as low cost as possible to our members. If you know of any businesses who would like to contribute towards the event via cash sponsorship, or small prizes they love to hear from you. You can fill in the pre-register form on the website or contact the GAM2022 Committee at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
