GADRA met with Minister Paschal Donohoe and Cllr Colm O'Rourke to discuss local issues. Among the issues discussed were crime, policing, traffic, the parish hall, and Metrolink. GADRA again explained the importance to the Minister of Independent Expert advice to be continued into the construction stage of Metrolink. Currently all resident groups along the length of Metrolink have access to the Independent Expert group during the planning phase.  The consultants RINA have been liaising with residents groups - please see our website for the GADRA meeting notes for the 5 meeting to date. We explained the importance of expert advice continuing to the construction phase. This is common in other countries with  metro construction .  We also discussed the issues that an above ground Shaft in Albert College Park will raise not least the loss of a large area of the park permanently.
