New Councillors and Local Areas

GADRA area has been divided into two local election areas Cabra Glasnevin and Whitehall Artane which means that we are dealing with two different sets of Councillors and also two different Dublin City Council areas and officials.

Home Farm Road/Park , all the Island Roads and the Southside of Griffith Ave, Mobhi road and the West side of Drumcondra road are all in the Cabra Glasnevin area which is managed by Dublin Central area .

The North side of Griffith Ave  , The Rise,Hampstead avenue are now in the Whitehall Artane area  which is now part of Dublin North Central.

Dublin North Central consists of Whitehall Artane, Clontarf,Raheny Coolock, Donaghmede and the councillors hold their meetings in Coolock which are not webcast. This is the largest local area in the city and there are 17 councillors within this full area. We are just a very small part of this very large area and we are situated on the periphery. In order to ensure that our residents are not overlooked we have met with DCC North Central officials for Environment, Public Domain and Community Liaison and will meet with area manager once appointed. We are in the process of meeting with individual councillors from both areas to highlight our issues.
